Johannes Kepler and the Creator
"[God] is the kind Creator who brought forth nature out of nothing." -Johannes Kepler
About Johannes Kepler
Johannes Kepler (1571-1630) was a leading figure in the scientific revolution in the 17th century. He was an Astronomer and a Mathematician. At the time when there were still no distinct boundary between Astronomy and Astrology, he was also an Astrologer. He is widely known for his contributions to the science of Astronomy, chief among them the “Kepler’s Laws of Planetary motions.” Much of his works are still used by scientists today, and were actually instrumental to some other scientific laws and discoveries, like Sir Isaac Newton’s Theory of Universal Gravitation. Though he was a prominent scientist at the time of the scientific revolution, he is widely known for incorporating religious convictions to his works.
Explanation
In your life, you have seen many beautiful works of art. There are paintings, sculptures, and even huge monuments and buildings. You will always be amazed and express compliments and gratitude to their creator. For every enthralling work of art that you see, you will always praise the painter, the sculptor, the architect, or the artist of that masterpiece. You compliment them not only on the beauty of their work, but how they made those pieces of arts out of raw materials found in your surroundings—a good painting from a fine cloth and colours, an appealing sculpture from ragged rock, and a monumental building from blocks and dusts. Armed with their talent and seemingly endless imagination, an artist creates his masterpiece from nature. On the other hand, the Great Artist created everything out of nothing. It is from Him that nature and the universe, arose out of nothing, for He made everything.
